Linear heat sensing

Used to monitor environments over a long range distance

Linear Heat Detection is the terminology used for fire detection systems which are used to monitor environments over a long range distance (linear assets), typically in a special hazard environment. Linear heat detection systems can detect a fire anywhere along the length of the linear heat sensing cable, and can be of lengths in excess of multiple kilometers. Fiber optic distributed temperature sensing is one of the key technologies which is utilised within this field.

Linear Heat Detection Cable (LHD) for fire detection is provided of two twisted steel conductors, covered by a heat-sensitive polymer. When the programmed temperature is reached, this polymer layer gets broken, making the two conductors contact each other, causing an alarm.

LINESENSE - MAXIMUM SAFETY AND SECURITY

Linesense Linear Heat Detection cable has been manufactured for over 40 years. During this time, over 10 million metres of LHD cable have been supplied to customers worldwide, from Europe and The Americas to China and Asia Pacific. In-depth research and development, together with meticulous quality assessment, has always formed the cornerstone of Linesense’s approach to market.

Our Digital Linear Heat Detection systems can ensure you and your business the safety it needs and peace of mind.

Patol Linear Heat Detection Cable (LHDC)

The Patol Linear Heat Detection Cable (LHDC) is designed to provide early detection of fire and overheating.

LHDC will detect fire and overheating in circumstances where other forms of detection would not be viable, either due to inability to sustain the environment requirements or through prohibitive costs.

This allows you to respond to threats of fire rapidly. Patol also offers a Line Type Heat Detector system which can operate under strain of high temperatures and extreme humidity.

SECURIHEAT LIST: LINE TYPE HEAT DETECTOR

SecuriHeat LIST: line type heat detectors for use in tunnels and industrial facilities Extremely durable and precise

Interference factors such as dust, heat, smoke or exhaust fumes hamper fire detection in harsh, aggressive environments. SecuriHeat LIST line type heat detectors are immune to these effects and impress thanks to their high precision, reliability and durability.

SecuriHeat LIST can be used at a temperature range of between -55 °C and (briefly) +200 °C. Thanks to their EMC shielding, flame-retardant outer sheathing and integrated strain relief, the cables are immune to interference factors and are extremely durable. Installation, programming and commissioning of the systems can all be made easily. SecuriHeat LIST visualises the temperature values and events on the cable terminal processor or PC, and also offers interfaces to superordinate systems.

SENKOX Linear Hot Spot Detection technology

Senkox HSD™ Linear Hot Spot Detectors have powerful functions and are very flexible, making installation and maintenance simple and efficient. Customized products have been designed particularly for various industrial fire safety application settings such as coal domes, high temperature vessels, cable trays, fuel storage and more.

Furthermore, Senkox HSD™ Linear Hot Spot Detectors can also provide enhanced detection functions, such as real-time temperature, position, hot spot size, rate of temperature change, and the temperature difference between a hot spot and the ambient temperature.

Senkox HSD™ Linear Hot Spot Detectors are advanced multi-functional detectors that provide early detection of fire or conditions of overheating to protected areas or equipment.

The detector consists of two major components: An HSD™ Linear Heat Sensor cable and an HSD™ DAQ Module.
